My Testimonial

Collected my testimonial with fatty today and as usual he is late again. Because he was late he have to treat be coffee bean. hahah... Below is my testimonial...


Personal Qualities

Grace is a representation of what a student of First Toa Payoh Secondary School should be. She is an industrious student who is constantly seen trying to better her academic performance. She is endowed with a sharp and analytical mind. Coupled with unequal determination, Grace is always one of the first to complete any tasks or assignments given to her. She excels in the field of Mathematics and is very meticulous in the work that she does. Grace is always endeared by her peers for her affability. Her sociable character not only wins her friends from her class but also students from other levels as well.


Leadership

Grace's zeal and enthusiasm for the aethetics had seen her achieving many awards for her CCA, the school Band. Her role in band as a performer had seen her participate in many competitions. One of the contributions to her CCA was the performance in the Bi-annual Singapore Youth Festival in 2003 and 2005 which clinched a bronze and a silver medal respectively. Her other offerings to band included the performance at the Music Fiesta at Istana Park (2003) and in the closing ceremony of the ASEAN Gymnastics in 2004. Grace was also given the role of Secretary in band where she held this position from 2004-2005. She was an independant person who could work well under pressure and was able to meet all deadlines given to her. During her charge as the secretary, she was able to motivate her peers under her care and was able to build a very cohesive unit.

Grace's active involvement was evident in the class as well. She was appointed the class treasurer in 2002. She gradually progressed up the class committee where she was appointed the class Vice-Chairperson and class Secretary in 2003 and 2004 respectively. During her tenure as an appointment holder in the class, Grace was able to juggle her studies as well as her other responsibilities.

Given her strong leadership and mangerial abilities, Grace was appointed to be the School Councilor in 2005. It was during her term as a student leader that Grace was able to enhance her leadership skills from the various leadership courses that she had attended. She was apt at using her newly learnt skills to daily use. Being a School Councilor, Grace was involved in the organization of the Annual School Level Camps, Carnivals and Outdoor related events. Her contribution to the school has been invaluable.


CCA/ Contribution to School

In terms of contribution to the society, Grace had participated in many community services such as Yeoman service in the Inter-School National Gymnastics Competition, Fund Raising (Reach out and run) for the Elderly Programme and Beach Cleaning Exercises. She helped the class to organize and run a stall in the school's National Day Fun Fair 2007 and was seen making sacrifices in making sure that the event was managed well.


Conclusion

With all the accolades, Grace is however humble and ever ready to lend a helping hand whenever there is a need. She is constantly trying to find ways to improve herself. Her humility has made her well received by her classmate and she possesses the courage to admit her mistakes. Her rationale and objective thinking is definitely her strength to her success.

Grace has the potential to shine in any field of profession. She has the attributes to contribute significantly to society in future given her huge versatile nature.
