GLORY

POL-ITE Games 2009 Day 5

Day 5 - Gold Medal Day - everybody was waiting for the game between Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic. The draw was perfect, the final day and the only 2 teams that could take the Gold Meadal playing each other.

The game was played as you would expect a Finals match to be played, very tough and no quarter given. The game flowed from one end to the other with neither team seeming to be gaining the ascendency. At half time the game was still locked at nil all. Twenty minutes to go to find the winner. Nanayang seemed to pressuring Singapore Polytechnic more and more and then in the space of 2 minutes they ran in 2 touchdowns. This proved too much for Singapore Polytechnic and the game ended with Nanayang Polytechnic crowned POL-ITE 2009 Champions.

The early game saw Temasek Polytechnic, as expected, wrap up the silver medal with a convincing win over ITE
